Not only does Ryan Schulteis keep up with one of the fastest-paced newscasts in the TV business, he leads it at WHDH-TV in Boston.
Trendy, urban, a stand out television presence, Ryan is in his sixth year at WHDH. He has appeared nationally on CNN, MSNBC and The Weather Channel.
Locally, Ryan covers the big breaking stories at daily WHDH and he’s also their go to reporter for the big entertainment stories.
He’s been dispatched to New York to cover the death of actor Heath Ledger. He’s landed one on one interviews with U2′s Bono, Britney Spears, George Clooney, Jerry Seinfeld, Mark Walberg, Donald Trump and plenty of other big stars.
In the fall of 2007 Ryan spent more than a month traveling with the Red Sox and reported all along the way leading up to the nonstop coverage after the Sox won the World Series in Denver.
Ryan came to 7NEWS from FOX5 in Las Vegas, where he was also a General Assignment Reporter.
While in Vegas, Schulteis covered a wide range of major stories with both local and national interest.
Before FOX5, Ryan reported for WTVO-TV in Rockford, Illinois and WISN in his hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Schulteis received a degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in Broadcast Journalism.
Ryan is passionate about journalism because, he says, “it’s a great way to interact with people.” One of his proudest achievements was helping a family whose home was destroyed by floodwaters. The story influenced the city to buy the house.
